  • Available on an admitted or non-admitted basis, the Architects and Engineers Professional Liability policy provides expansive, worldwide coverage for claims arising from a Breach of Professional Duty in the performance of Professional Services rendered by the Insured or any entity for which the insured is legally liable. Policy features include:
  • Broad definition of “insured” including former partners and employees, predecessors in interest, joint ventures, as well as contract and leased personnel
  • Broad definition of “professional services” includes services provided by agency construction managers
  • Coverage for claims arising out of professional services rendered to or on behalf of any business enterprise in which the Insured has up to 25% ownership interest
  • No exclusions for professional liability exposures related to pollution or asbestos
  • Mediation provision reduces the insured’s deductible obligation up to 50% (up to $20,000) when a claim is resolved through mediation
  • Deductibles ranging from $2,500 to $50,000
  • Liability limits ranging from $100,000 to $5,000,000
  • First Dollar or Shared Claim Expense options available
  • Specific project excess limits available by endorsement

Reporting a Claim
All claims notices should be reported to your Professional Liability Insurance broker for submission to Lexington Insurance Company or other Chartis companies for handling except where specific arrangements are made for direct reporting to Lexington.
